2001 - Upon returning from University in Sheffield, my friends were DJing at Xtra, Kettering and invited me to do guest slots on a Tuesday nights. This soon evolved into hosting every Thursday night.
2002 - Became Saturday night resident of Xtra, Kettering. First club gig at Frisky, Northampton
2003 - New management took over Xtra and we launched BOX in Attica (above OMalleys), Kettering.
2004 - Runner up in BBC Radio1One's FatboySlim competition, The big clubland gigs begin with sets at Gatecrasher, Heaven, London and Passion in Coalville amongst others.
2005 - Became joint promoter and resident of Kinky U with events at Brixton Academy, The Fridge and Turnmills to name a few.
2006 - Became promoter and resident of FUNKdeluxe and began promoting events up and down the UK. Went to Ibiza for the first time culminating with playing the main room at Es Paradis for Pukka UP.
2007 - FUNKdeluxe continued to dominate the 2nd/3rd room scene and Ibiza saw a huge sets at Manumission at Privilege and Judgement Sundays. This year also saw the car crash which lead to many cancelled gigs, but also my first festival set at the AMEFestival.
2008 - Disco Dirt was launched and became an instant success at Watercress Harry, Kettering. FUNKdeluxe continued to fly high and Ibiza once again saw another massive gig this time at Cream Ibiza on the Terrace in Amnesia, Ibiza Rocks and again at Judgement Sundays.
2009 - Disco Dirt starts causing a stir and finds itself hosting capacity events throughout the year plus Disco Dirt 'Later' launched. FUNKdeluxe returned to Ibiza hosting various events including another repeat set at Judgement Sundays.
2010 - We received the huge acclaim from the World's largest dance music magazine Mixmag with Disco Dirt being named as one of the 'BEST FREE PARTIES IN THE UK AND EIRE'. We also launched Disco Dirt ibiza which saw a week of free events on the island and hosting a room at Eden. The 'Later' series runs throughout the year at Club Rehab, Kettering.
2011 - Disco Dirt Ibiza came back for a 2nd year and again a week of free events with hosting Es Paradis being the highlight. We take Disco Dirt back to where it all began at Xtra, Kettering, plus we launched our Bank Holiday Sunday events at The Loft (above Abacus), Kettering where we had 30min queues to get into the events! |
